Utila vs Zyfai
Utila is wallet infrastructure for institutions. MPC key shares, policies, approvals, and an audit trail sit around the assets.
Yield on Utila is access from that wallet: staking, vaults, and protocols you connect, including partners such as Yield.xyz and Morpho. The job is custody control and treasury operations. The earn strategy is whichever provider you plug in.
Zyfai is not a wallet and does not replace one. Connecting yield from Utila still leaves you with the provider you plugged in, including a vault’s reported NAV and its oracle if that is what you connect. Zyfai is the agent on the account: a whitelist, monitoring, and execution that cannot send funds to an arbitrary address. Treasury control and running the yield stay different jobs.
A fit for Zyfai when
- The account already exists, and you need the yield agent on it.
- You are embedding earn, not standing up a treasury platform.
A fit for Utila when
- You need institutional key control, policies, and an audit trail.
- Earn should be a connection from the wallet you already operate.
